Blessing of the Animals
Annually, AWA celebrates animals! Each year on this international day of recognition, we sell and light luminaries and host a service on the first Sunday in October. Join us!
Postcards to purchase luminaries are mailed. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please contact us.
Dog House Derby
Held in the fall each year, this event gathers volunteers to construct dog houses from kits that have been pre-cut. Once completed, the houses are painted, and given to Cleveland County Animal Services to place at their discretion. Refreshments are provided!

Wags & Whiskers
Look for our die-cut pet food bowls in the windows of your favorite convenience stores, restaurants, and businesses. Buy a bowl for $1 and dedicate it to your own special, furry friend!
Dinkin' Dawgs & Pickle Paws
Held in May, this fundraiser has proven to be our most successful one yet, thanks to the hard work of special folks. All skill levels welcome! Door prizes awarded throughout the day during this three day event right here in Shelby, NC!
