LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAM

• AWA offers low cost spay/neuter options to pet owners in the area.  Spay or neuter at a private veterinarian's office can be in excess of $250.  Our program allows your pet to have the same surgery for less.

• The cost of the surgery depends on animal species, age, weight, and reproductive status of females.  Please call for current pricing.

• Surgeries are performed at the SNIP Clinic in Shelby at 209 South DeKalb Street.  You will love Dr. Hilderbran and the staff at Spay Neuter Initiative of the Piedmont!  Owners are responsible for drop off and pick up of their animals at that location.  Drop off is early morning, and pickup is the same day.  Instructions for drop-off and pick-up can be found on the SNIP website.

• The following items are required before scheduling (no texting):

        1.  Spay & Neuter Registration Form

        2.  fee(s)  (do not mail cash)

        3.  proof of current Rabies vaccine, or add $16 to your surgery fee.

        4.  working phone number on the registration form

Please make sure the zip code is correct!  During the months of November and December, forms and payments must be received before November 21 to be considered for a January appointment.  Spay and neuter appointments are not scheduled in December.

Once all of these materials are received, we will call you to schedule.  Incomplete forms or mailings with no phone number will be returned to sender.
