  • Because of financial support from fundraisers and donations, we have been able to provide life saving surgeries in greater numbers than ever before. Surgeries that have included exploratory procedures to save dogs from certain death due to blockages in their intestines, and several pyometra surgeries...also death sentences if left untreated (oddly, two of which were cats).

  • We have provided the means for necessary euthanasia in several cases.

  • We have also come to the aid of many injured and rescued animals for which the actual rescuer was unable to provide veterinary care because of the high cost.

  • This year with the help of skilled volunteers, we were able to launch our website and reinstate our Facebook page. We invite you to visit both, and follow us on Facebook.

  • We have provided supplies to those willing to bottle feed babies, and we have provided food for many pet owners that have been down on their financial luck.

  • At the end of last year, we helped stock with pet food and supplies the drop locations for victims of the ravaging floods from Helene in Western NC.

  • We have also provided food for feral colonies that we addressed with TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return).

  • Since our last correspondence with you, with help from Dr. Moseley Lawrence, Dr. Taylor Browning, the incredible staff of Cherryville Animal Hospital, and many other volunteers, we have provided free Rabies vaccines at three locations in both Cleveland and Gaston Counties. To date, there have been over 30 confirmed Rabies cases in Gaston and Cleveland Counties alone, and this cannot be ignored!

  • This year, we have built 30 dog houses (6 more than last year!) and donated them to Gaston County Animal Care & Enforcement to distribute as they see the need. We are proud to say that we have inspired others to initiate their own dog house building project using our “patented” simple/easy/cost effective design!

  • With cooperative caregivers, we have not only been able to address the medical and spay/neuter needs of cats, but also that of a feral dog. Her name is Della and she was saved from a certain, early death due to repeated pregnancies and an extremely heavy load of heartworm parasites. She was trapped and our very own Dr. Hilderbran and her amazing SNIP clinic staff treated her. She is now in foster care until her heartworm treatment is completed. At that time, she will be placed in a loving home if she continues to make the strides toward socialization that will bring both her and her caregiver joy.

  • We have done all of this while continuing to offer extremely low-cost spay and neuter procedures for dogs and cats, as well as administering an active and legitimate TNR program addressing the area's enormous problem of rampant cat reproduction.

  • We continue to offer our $10 Pit Bull special price for the spay or neuter of this breed (and any Pit Bull mixed breed) in the hopes of saving them and/or their unwanted puppies from entering our government-run pound. Earlier this year determined to keep this particular offering available, we pulled from our regular budget to fund it, thereby limiting our ability to offer veterinary assistance here at the end of the year and at the end of our available funds.

  • To join us in this life-saving work to prevent or end suffering of animals, consider your niche in our organization.  Is it member, one-time donor, fund raising volunteer (we have several!), trapper, transporter?  Explore our site.  Follow our Facebook page and like and share our information, then give us a call, We’re always happy to shed light on the needs of the animals in our communities!
